Overview
The role is responsible for developing and leading the Acquisition strategy and programme to generate long-term sustainable growth and maximise net unrestricted revenue.
Tasks Summary
- Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of the UK Acquisition strategy and operational plan
- Maintain and develop a monitoring and reporting framework for acquisition activity and associated KPIs
- Oversee donor acquisition and revenue activities across cash, regular giving, lead gen, lottery and the mid-level portfolio
- Deliver emergency appeals, review and develop processes to ensure speed to market and maximum net revenue
- Continuously assess and improve core business and diversify channel and product mix
- Work closely with equivalent teams in other national markets and central support teams
- Oversee the acquisition planning and budgeting process
- Propose investment / disinvestment and advise on additional investment opportunities
- Balance in-year net income opportunities against multi-year investments
- Monitor the effectiveness of activities and take contingency action
- Oversee income and expenditure tracking and manage reconciliation and monthly variance reporting
- Lead and develop the Acquisition team
- Be an active part of the UK Mass Markets management team

- Experience in optimising multi-channel cash and regular giving programmes
- Experience in expanding into new products, channels and audiences
- Experience in responding to emergency appeals
- Experience in managing agency relationships and consultants
- Experience in managing and developing team members
- Experience in managing an income and expenditure budget
