Overview
Assist the Human Security Unit (HSU) in maintaining up-to-date donor-related information, identifying opportunities to enhance strategic partnerships, and backstopping resource mobilization and outreach activities.
Tasks Summary
- Implement the 2026 region-specific resource mobilization and outreach strategy
- Maintain up-to-date donor profiles, including budget cycles, trends, and engagement monitoring
- Monitor donor information through news sources, policy documents, and government statements
- Create donor-focused content for HSU website, social media, and meeting materials
- Assist in preparation of high-level Member State donor meetings, special events, and field visits
Experience Requirements
- Up to 3 years of professional experience, inclusive of internships
- Experience in and knowledge of the application of the human security approach at the United Nations or within intergovernmental organizations, national governments and/or civil society organizations
- Knowledge of key global agendas of relevance to human security
- Experience with the United Nations common system is desirable
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in development policy, international relations, political science, history, social sciences, psychology or related field
