Tasks Summary

We are looking for volunteers to help organize and run a local activity center – primarily in Gdańsk, but also elsewhere. These centers operate in the mornings for seniors and in the afternoons for youth and adults. Volunteering involves assisting with center management, technical and organizational support, social media, and more. Additionally, volunteers will support the activities of our information points, the NGO center, and other Morena projects. We also offer classes, workshops, and other activities for children, youth, adults, and seniors in Gdańsk – including at the local center 90 km from Gdańsk. Interested persons are also asked to fill out the questionnaire below: https://forms.gle/ZCMrQUV6YugZd3356 Accommodation, food and transport arrangements Rooms for 2-3 people, shared with same-sex participants, with access to bathroom/shower facilities. A monthly fee of PLN 700 for food and cleaning supplies will be charged pro rata if meals are provided. Each participant will receive a €6 per day allowance, converted to PLN. Local transportation costs are reimbursed for local travel (home-work-home). Travel expenses are subject to program rules. If costs exceed the rate, the volunteer is responsible for the difference. For individuals with special needs, integration and other support are also available. Training during the activity Mandatory training will be organized according to ECS standards for volunteering; after 3 months of work: first aid; after 6 months: volunteer safety and other optional training. Participant profile We are looking for volunteers with skills that will help run a community activity center and lead various activities and workshops. Requirements: English at least B2, time management, planning, and work organization skills, Google calendar management, creating diagrams, tables, forms, and graphics (e.g., Canva or others), and social media skills. Additional benefits include the ability to lead activities such as artistic, linguistic, cultural, and recreational activities.
