Overview
Functions as an expert in human resource management policies, including mobility, work/life, diversity, field staff conditions, staff development, recruitment, and performance management. Manages the technical aspects of the mobility and hardship scheme for classifying field duty stations.
Tasks Summary
- Plan, design, and conduct detailed studies on human resource management best practices.
- Draft documents with recommendations for new approaches and policy revisions.
- Present approaches at Commission sessions and inter-agency meetings.
- Manage the programme for classifying field duty stations under the Mobility and Hardship Scheme.
- Represent the ICSC secretariat at interagency meetings, providing technical assistance and guidance.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of seven years of experience in human resources, public administration, psychology, or a related field is required.
- Experience in preparing contextual information such as research papers, reports, and other relevant documents is desirable.
- Experience in the evaluation and development of human resources policies in a large international multi-cultural organization is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
- An advanced university degree (Master’s or Doctorate degree, or equivalent) in human resources management, public administration, psychology, or related fields is required.
- A first-level degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in the specified fields of studies with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- Strong analytical skills are required.
- Completion of training programmes in data analytics, business analytics, or data science is desirable.
- Knowledge of UN HR policies and procedures is required.
