Overview
The role involves writing two Guidance packages for Stages 4 and 5 of Environmental Impact Assessment, identifying supporting resources, and preparing presentations. The purpose is to provide actionable steps for air quality managers to progress through these stages.
Tasks Summary
- Write two Guidance packages (Stage 4 and Stage 5) of approximately 5,000 words each.
- Identify a minimum of 30 supporting resources (tools, models, databases, reports, articles...) to complement each step.
- Break down activities into concrete and actionable steps using clear and accessible language.
- Ensure cross-linkages and overall consistency with other areas of Air Quality Management Guidance.
- Conduct consultations with the AQMx Technical Advisory Group and relevant partners/stakeholders.
- Prepare a PowerPoint presentation including key messages for the launch.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of professional and/or scientific experience related to Environmental Impact Assessment.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing reports that demonstrate expertise in Environmental Impact Assessment (one report authored or co-authored in the last 3 years).
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and delivering presentations.
- Expertise in Environmental Impact Assessment of air pollution.
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear, accessible and concise scientific and technical reports for policymakers.
- Experience working in and conducting research in developing countries and an understanding of a range of country contexts is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
Masters-level university degree in a subject directly relevant to the guidance being developed (including, but not limited to: environmental management, technology, science or economics; public policy and public administration; law).
