Overview
This role supports the Education Section in implementing and monitoring key activities to promote children’s timely recovery and enhance learning and wellbeing outcomes. The primary focus is on collecting and synthesizing data to inform decision-making and tailor interventions.
Tasks Summary
- Support timely and accurate data on the education context across different regions.
- Support development of programme M&E frameworks aligned with internal guidelines.
- Lead data collection and analysis for internal reporting requirements.
- Lead sustained use of UNICEF Myanmar’s new internal monitoring system.
- Coordinate with UNICEF’s internal programme monitoring team, field offices, and education cluster members.
- Coordinate with different education programmes to collect, check for data quality, and verify data.
- Support donor reporting for different education programmes.
- Support other programme data analysis tasks.
- Work with partners to produce periodic situation analyses.
- Assist capacity development of UNICEF programme focal points and partner organizations.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience relevant to the TOR requirements.
- Strong understanding of and expertise in data analysis and M&E.
- Experience in designing reporting templates in Excel.
- Experience working with partners and education stakeholders across contexts.
- Knowledge of issues related to girls, children with disabilities, IDPs, refugees and other vulnerable populations.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in aggregating and analysing data for donor reports.
- Strong analytical and oral and written communication skills, review experience and familiarity with the education sector in Myanmar.
- Prior experience of working with UN agencies in similar assignment is an added advantage.
- Previous experience with reporting platforms.
- Experience with data visualization software such as Power Bi/ Tableau/ similar preferred.
Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Studies, Social Sciences, International Relations, Public Administration, Mathematics, Computer Science or another Relevant Technical field
