Overview
Provide interpretation services from one of the languages of Myanmar (Burmese, Rohingya and/or Rakhine) into English, and vice versa, for meetings, interviews, and similar processes.
Tasks Summary
- Provide simultaneous interpretation in English and Burmese, Rohingya or Rakhine languages, for the purpose of meetings, interviews, or similar processes.
- Participating in, and assisting in the preparation and conduct of, missions by the IIMM.
- Maintain strict security and confidentiality of information obtained during the conduct of the assignment.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in interpreting from one of the languages of Myanmar (Burmese, Rohingya or Rakhine) into English, and vice versa, is required.
- Experience providing interpretation or translation services in support of criminal investigations or related subjects is desirable.
- Experience working in field missions within the United Nations Common System or other international organizations is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
