Overview

The individual contractor will translate scripts and other information from English into Tajik to support the UNODC Global Integrated (e)Learning and innovation Programme. Translated documents will be delivered using Trados.

Tasks Summary

• Translating scripts and other information from English into Tajik.
• Delivering translated documents using Trados, maintaining the original document format.

Experience Requirements

• A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in the field of English to Tajik translation.
• International experience in English-Tajik translation is required.
• Work experience with Trados, is desirable.

Qualification Requirements

• An advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in language is required.
• A first level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in English and Tajik are required.

Languages Preferred: • Knowledge of any other UN official language is an advantage.
