Overview

The Project Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day management of project implementation, ensuring that projects produce the specified results within the required standards, time, and cost.


Tasks Summary
  • Oversees the day-to-day project implementation and ensures achievement of targets.
  • Leads and supervises the project team, builds team coherence and establishes clear roles and responsibilities.
  • Mobilizes goods and services and other project inputs.
  • Prepares the work plan for all project activities.
  • Ensures the quality of project inputs meet expected standards.
  • Performs oversight roles for project compliance against relevant government and UNDP regulations.
  • Manages critical issues, troubleshoots problems and develops solutions.
  • Ensures gender-related economic, environmental, public research and analysis.
  • Serves as the strategic liaison officer with key stakeholders.
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with relevant public and development partners.
  • Ensures expanding partnerships and cooperation between key stakeholders.
  • Builds project reputation for quality design, reliable delivery, integrity and accountability.
  • Identifies opportunities for mobilizing resources for the project.
  • Strengthens the communication of the project.
  • Ensures effective coordination with the activities of other UN agencies.
  • Implements project work plan and ensures the project remains within tolerance levels.
  • Conducts regular monitoring to ensure achievement of targets.
  • Prepares quarterly project reports.
  • Provides additional inputs and data for external project reports.
  • Updates information/input into regular programme reports to the donor.
  • Ensures implementation of gender equality accountability framework and Gender equality Results Based Management at project level.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years (with Master’s Degree) or 4 years (with Bachelor’s Degree) of relevant experience at the national or international level in a field related to project management in the development sector or related areas.


Qualification Requirements
  • Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in social studies, development studies, management studies, Public Policy, International Development or any other relevant fields is required.
  • OR a first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in combination with an additional four years of qualifying experience.
