Overview
To contribute to the planning and implementation of a cost-benefit analysis study for flour fortification in Lebanon, providing evidence for policy recommendations and estimating investment needs.
Tasks Summary
- Carrying out a comprehensive cost-benefit analysis of wheat flour fortification.
- Evaluating economic viability, health outcomes, and implementation feasibility.
- Conducting a desk review and data mapping.
- Facilitating consultation workshops with key stakeholders.
- Preparing a detailed report with findings, assumptions, limitations, and recommendations.
- Presenting results to WFP management and the government.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant post-graduate professional work experience in public health and nutrition, and the economy in developing countries.
- Demonstrated experience in fortification cost-benefit analysis (CBA) studies, preferably related to wheat flour fortification, for nutrition or public health programmes.
Qualification Requirements
• Advanced university degree in Public Health and Nutrition, Health Economy, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
