Overview

The SSA Consultant (Additional Team Leader) will provide project management support for the THR project in UP, monitor implementation, identify gaps, and suggest corrections. The role also involves researching market opportunities for products produced by WSHGs and establishing market linkages.

Tasks Summary

• Provide project management support in the overall implementation of the THR project in UP.
• Undertake regular visits to THR production units to monitor implementation, identify gaps, and suggest mid-course corrections.
• Contribute towards the overall management of the Project Management Unit.
• Research, analyse, and undertake surveys to understand market and community willingness to purchase edible products.
• Liaise and identify business and marketing opportunities for alternate products.
• Establish linkages between WSHGs and the market for sale of products.
• Contribute in the development of standard operating procedures, systems and processes for open market selling.
• Develop branding for products and assist in generating visibility.
• Leverage market-based approach for increasing profitability and viability.
• Conduct capacity building of WSHG members on market linkages.
• Document success stories of THR units engaging in market-based approach.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of one year of progressively responsible professional experience, preferably within the development sector, working in collaboration with government entities, UN agencies, or international non-governmental organizations (INGOs). Out of this total experience, the medium of written communication must have been Hindi for at least 1 year.

Qualification Requirements

Advance university degree in Management, Marketing, Economics, Nutrition/Health, Social Sciences or other field relevant to rural development or First University Degree with additional years of related work experience and/or trainings/courses.
