Overview

Provide technical support to strengthen the pharmaceutical system in Cambodia, focusing on antimicrobial resistance response, regulatory systems, and access to medical products.

Tasks Summary
  • Provide technical support for antimicrobial consumption pilot implementation.
  • Support data cleaning, analysis, and preparation for submission.
  • Support follow-up actions from TWG-AMS meetings.
  • Provide technical inputs to National AMS Guidelines implementation.
  • Support follow-up actions from IDP Resource Mapping and CAPA Planning Workshop.
  • Provide technical inputs to preparatory steps for the new Pharmaceutical Law.
  • Provide coordination support for traditional, complementary and integrative medicine regulatory strengthening.
  • Propose a concept note for the revision of the Cambodia essential medicines list (CEML).
  • Organize and coordinate the revision process of the CEML.
  • Develop recommendations for harmonization mechanisms between the national EML committee and disease programs.
  • Update a pharmaceutical country profile.
  • Produce reports on pharmaceutical-related meetings.
  • Develop a methodology for a rapid pharmaceutical audit.
  • Produce the rapid audit report of the pharmaceutical system at OD level.
  • Submit a consultancy plan with timeline, monthly reports, and a final technical report.
Experience Requirements
  • At least seven (7) years of experience working in essential medicines, health technologies, antimicrobial resistance, pharmaceutical systems, or related areas, with exposure to medicines regulation or pharmaceutical policies.
  • Desirable: Having worked in resource-limited settings.
Qualification Requirements
  • University degree in public health, pharmacy, medicine, epidemiology, health sciences, or other relevant fields.
  • Desirable: Advanced degree and/or training in international health, health law, public health, antimicrobial resistance, pharmaceutical affairs, pharmaceutical policies and/or relevant fields.

Languages Required: • Fully fluent in written and spoken English is essential.

Contract Duration: 3 months

Work Modality: On site: The WHO Country Office in Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia.
