Overview
Consultancy to design and deliver training of trainers programs for male healthcare workers on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) and common cancers, focusing on early detection and referral.
Tasks Summary
- Design and deliver a 6-day training of trainers program for male nurses and doctors on NCDs and cancer, including screening, early detection, and referral of common cancers.
- Enhance the capacity of healthcare providers in patient education, evaluation, screening, referral, and follow-up for NCDs and cancers.
- Conduct a rapid needs assessment to tailor training content.
- Develop training materials, including presentations, handouts, and job aids.
- Facilitate two six-day in-person training of Trainers workshops in Afghanistan.
- Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to evaluate knowledge improvement.
- Provide a final report with recommendations for future capacity-building initiatives.
Experience Requirements
- From 5 to 10 years of experience in NCDs management and treatment, cancer control and/ or health education.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering training programs for healthcare providers, preferably in fragile or low-resource settings and specific to Afghanistan.
- International Experience is a requirement for international consultancies.
- Knowledge of the Afghan health system and cultural context is considered an asset.
Qualification Requirements
• Master’s degree in public health and or medicine.
