Overview
Consultancy to design and deliver training programs for female healthcare workers on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) and early cancer detection, with a focus on improving knowledge and skills in prevention, screening, and referral.
Tasks Summary
- Design and deliver two modules of training of trainers (ToT) programs for female midwives, doctors, nurses, and Community Health Worker trainers on NCDs and cancer.
- Develop culturally appropriate and evidence-based training materials.
- Enhance capacity in patient education, awareness, clinical evaluation, screening, referral, and follow-up for NCDs and breast and cervical cancer.
- Conduct a rapid assessment of needs to tailor training content.
- Facilitate two 6-day in-person ToT workshops.
- Conduct pre- and post-training assessments.
- Provide a final report with recommendations.
Experience Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of experience in NCDs management and treatment, cancer control and/or health education.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering training programs for healthcare providers, preferably in fragile or low-resource settings and specific to Afghanistan.
- International Experience is a requirement for international consultancies.
- Knowledge of the Afghan health system and cultural context is considered an asset.
Qualification Requirements
• Master’s degree in public health and or medicine.
