Overview

Provide counselling to refugees and other persons of concern regarding their durable solutions needs and support the implementation of durable solutions strategies.

Tasks Summary

• Provide counselling to refugees and other persons of concern (POC) about their durable solutions needs.
• Interview candidates for voluntary repatriation and prepare documentation for their return.
• Interview candidates for local integration and prepare appropriate documentation.
• Participate in identifying resettlement needs of refugees.
• Assist in updating the electronic database for resettlement, voluntary repatriation and local integration.
• Process documentation to ensure POC receive required documents.
• Prepare statistical and ad-hoc reports.
• Interview and advise on the appropriate durable solution to be provided to POC.
• Prepare documents relating to durable solutions.
• Enter information into available database.
• Support the identification and management of risks and seek to seize opportunities impacting objectives.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Experience Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in providing durable solutions counselling and conducting interviews for voluntary repatriation, resettlement, and local integration.
• Experience in departure and movement coordination.
• Solid experience in managing expectations and delivering clear, empathetic counselling to refugees and asylum-seekers.
