Support the implementation of communications strategies and produce multimedia content for UNHCR's objectives related to forcibly displaced and stateless people.
Tasks Summary
- Support the implementation of communications strategies.
- Monitor news and popular trends to insert UNHCR's messaging.
- Forge strategic partnerships to produce and promote UNHCR content.
- Support the development of news-driven and authoritative content.
- Create emotive storytelling and mobilize action.
- Support the development of strategies for content distribution.
- Assist in research, preparation, editing and production of media and communications materials.
- Continually maintain and upgrade communications skills.
- Assist in implementation of campaigns, events and other initiatives.
- Undertake missions and field trips with media and other official visitors.
- Support the identification and management of risks and opportunities.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Experience Requirements
- 3 years relevant experience with High School Diploma; or 2 years relevant work experience with Bachelor or equivalent or higher.
- Demonstrated experience in working in media relations.
- Demonstrated experience in high-quality independent digital content production, video editing, and the creation of other multimedia products for international organizations.
- Extensive experience in the use of Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Experience in social media campaigns and writing materials for digital channels.
- Experience in the preparation of press releases, reports and web-stories.
- Demonstrated experience in multi-tasking and working under tight deadlines, in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
- Digital design skills to prepare branded documents.
- Experience working with or for international humanitarian organizations.
- Experience working in refugee/forced displacement settings, with a clear understanding of the Rohingya crisis.
- Experience working with vendors.
Qualification Requirements
• Journalism, Social Sciences, Humanities or related fields (Certificates and Licenses marked with an asterisk* are essential).
