The internship provides general administrative support across multiple administrative units to contribute to the smooth day-to-day functioning of the office.
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
The basic education required is HS Diploma. Applicants must meet one of the following requirements (a or b): (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Applicants must have good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, SharePoint, Canva and MS Teams. Currently enrolled in or recently completed a university degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Event Coordination, Logistics, Travel Administration, Hospitality Management, Tourism or a related field is required. Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme.
Languages Required: Fluency in spoken and written Spanish or English is required for the internship.
Languages Preferred: Ability to design surveys and polls is desirable.
Contract Duration: 6 months
Work Modality: in-person full- time basis
Remuneration: The internship is not paid.
