Overview

Provide comprehensive support for information and data management related to UN2720 clearance and monitoring requirements.

Tasks Summary
  • Determine primary data and information elements required for UN2720 clearance and monitoring.
  • Design, develop, and manage databases, spreadsheets, and other data tools.
  • Update reporting products and ensure data quality for accuracy, consistency, and comparability.
  • Consolidate operational information for analysis and dissemination.
  • Develop and implement data backup, restoration, validation, and security procedures.
  • Propose and implement upgrades to database webpage, data entry, and storage systems.
  • Develop new methods of communicating UN2720 data and transform them into web-based products.
  • Compile technical data inputs and evidence to answer stakeholder inquiries.
  • Act as a focal point for collection, analysis, and dissemination of information relevant to verification, monitoring, and inspection activities.
  • Organise, design, and implement evaluation and analysis of datasets.
  • Develop data standards and advise on periodic trend analysis.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and management of new indicators.
  • Develop and update information products such as maps, charts, and infographics.
  • Prepare and update presentations with the latest information.
  • Prepare critical statistics and analyses for management.
  • Assist Reporting Officers in producing briefing notes.
  • Provide training on data collection, input, information systems, and standards.
  • Provide maintenance and end-user technical support for database use and administration.
  • Provide technical support to operations staff in G-Suite applications.
  • Provide technical lead in the development of the reporting module and report automation.
  • Support ongoing maintenance, design, and development of content on relevant web platforms.
  • Provide overall quality control for UN2720 platforms.
  • Build/implement and/or update a web application for the project.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
Experience Requirements
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in database development, information management, information systems, web management, data management, data visualization, or other related areas is required.
  • One (01) year of experience in information management within the international development/humanitarian/INGO/UN context is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in information management, information systems, social science or related fields with 7 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree (or equivalent) in any of the above or related fields with 5 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Technical/Professional License with 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Technical/Professional Diploma with 9 years of relevant experience.

Languages Required: • English Fluent Required

Languages Preferred: • Arabic Fluent Desirable

Contract Duration: 6 months, until September 2026 with possible extension subject to availability of funds and satisfactory performance
