Overview

Leads the Seibersdorf Laboratories Services Section (SLSS) in providing site operation technical and administrative services for the IAEA's laboratories, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Tasks Summary
  • Lead the SLSS in strategic vision for management results at Seibersdorf laboratories.
  • Plan, organise, manage and evaluate team work, focusing on priorities and excellence.
  • Plan and manage facility management, buildings maintenance, infrastructure development, utilities, local procurement, and ICT for efficient laboratory operation.
  • Ensure regular review of processes and develop proposals for continuous improvement.
  • Plan and coordinate security, safety, and emergency measures in compliance with UN and national regulations.
  • Contribute to procedures for handling disposal of dangerous materials and coordinate their implementation.
  • Organise and supervise logistics for training courses, seminars, and lectures.
  • Keep abreast of best practices in engineering, safety management, and site operations.
Experience Requirements
  • At least 10 years of progressively relevant professional experience.
  • At least 5 years in an international context.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing medium to large teams.
  • Experience with quality assurance and industrial safety highly desirable.
Qualification Requirements

• Master's Degree - Advanced university degree (or equivalent) in technical engineering, facility management, business or public administration, or other relevant area(s).

Other Details

Languages Required: • Excellent oral and written command of English.

Languages Preferred: • Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.

Contract Duration: 36 months

Work Modality:

Remuneration: • Tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $101540 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance). • Variable post adjustment which currently amounts to US $ 55339*. • Dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, relocation and repatriation expenses. • 6 weeks' annual leave, home leave travel, pension plan and health insurance.
