Overview

The Electro-technician ensures the proper functioning of sophisticated electrical systems in laboratories and is involved in preventive maintenance and upgrading of electrical installations.

Tasks Summary
  • Maintain, repair and upgrade electrical equipment.
  • Check operation and condition of equipment and systems to detect faults.
  • Repair various equipment and systems and high-precision electrical components.
  • Monitor and coordinate with contracting firms.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance activities and upgrading of technical infrastructures.
  • Conduct in-house relevant workshops, maintain stocks, and complete documentation.
  • Assist others outside the area of specialization.
  • Participate in laboratory maintenance on-call schemes.
Experience Requirements

Minimum of four years of relevant experience, with extensive experience in maintaining and repairing electrical systems. Good understanding of modern techniques utilized in all electrical systems, including all safety aspects thereof.

Qualification Requirements

Completed apprenticeship and vocational schooling as an electrician, electrical technologist, or equivalent.

Other Details

Languages Required: Excellent oral and written command of English and German.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.

Contract Duration: 36 months

Work Modality:

Remuneration: Tax-free annual net base salary starting at EUR 50032 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), 6 weeks' annual vacation, pension plan and health insurance.
