Programme Officer (Education) _ Consultant

Overview

The Programme Officer (Education) will be responsible for strengthening the capacity of the education system to deliver quality education by empowering and enhancing the TVTC teaching workforce.

Tasks Summary

• Develop and submit an inception report.
• Conduct an in-depth needs assessment and compile findings into a Needs Assessment Report.
• Contextualise and develop draft key modules of the training.
• Present draft key modules for finalisation.
• Develop relevant training materials.
• Present training materials for finalisation.
• Lead the delivery of capacity-building training for TVTC staff.
• Support monitoring and documentation of implementation.
• Submit a comprehensive report highlighting identified needs, gaps, and training results.

Experience Requirements

• A minimum of five years of practical experience in teacher professional development, curriculum development, or a similar teacher training role is required.
• Previous experience in teacher training or instructional design, and familiarity with current best practices and modern pedagogical practices, is required.
• Prior experience in designing, developing, and delivering capacity-building curricula and tools for teacher training purposes is highly advantageous.
• Prior experience working with an international organisation or government education programmes is an advantage.
• Experience with liaising with national authorities, international and/or national organizations is desirable.
• Familiarity with the local education context, policies, and cultural dynamics is required.

Qualification Requirements

• An advanced University degree in Education, Curriculum Development, Social Sciences, or any other relevant discipline.
• The candidate should attach proof of a valid teacher training certificate to their application, if relevant.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in both English and Arabic is required (oral and written).
