Overview

The Communication Officer will conceptualize, design, and produce multimedia content for digital campaigns and keep the UNDP Djibouti website and annual event calendar updated.

Tasks Summary

• Conceptualize, design, and produce multimedia content for digital campaigns.
• Keep the UNDP Djibouti website updated.
• Keep the UNDP annual event calendar up to date.
• Develop compelling storylines and scripts for videos, film videos/b-rolls and edit them.
• Create and or support video edits to highlight human interest stories and UNDP programs.
• Create youth and users-friendly content tailored for youth platforms.
• Lead in writing creative concepts, presenting themes, and briefings for content creation.
• Collect photos and videos from field visits and live events.
• Lead the organization of UNDP public events from the communication aspects.
• Assist in coordinating with graphic designers, video editors, photographers, and other content implementers.
• Explore innovative digital tools to enhance creativity, accessibility, and efficiency in content creation.
• Lead the writing of the UNDP annual report, ROAR, program fiches with contents from the program team, graphic design tasks, including layout, banners, report templates, PowerPoint presentations and any other design assignments.
• Participate actively to the UNCG, UN Partnership and be the communication focal point for RBAS.
• Ensure content clearance, review and feedback with the supervisors.
• Supervise the National Communication Assistant.
• Assist in any other related tasks as required or assigned by the supervisor.

Experience Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional work experience in digital content creation for various social media.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communication, social media, Digital Marketing, Advertising, Graphic Design, Videography, or any other Content Creation fields.
