MONOPATIA ALLILEGIIS LEFKADA, Greece Volunteer opportunity: Clean Create & Educate VI
The beaches of Lefkas island are part of a beautiful natural heritage. In order to preserve these beaches and to encourage locals and visitors into more responsible behavior, we wish to launch this volunteering project, within the frame of the “European Solidarity Corps” program, involving 30 volunteers. For a month, from 7th of May to 7th of June 2025 (travel days included), ESC volunteers will take part in a project of common interest and public utility. They will clean the beaches and take initiative to raise public awareness about protecting the environment. This can have positive impact on the local community thru the active engagement of the youngsters. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements The volunteers will be hosted in the Camping Village Episkopos, in Lefkada island https://campingvillageepiskopos.gr/. Each volunteer will receive a food allowance of 150 € and 180 € for pocket money, so 330 € for the whole month. The volunteer or his/her sending organization will buy the transport tickets. We will reimburse the tickets up to the fixed amount based on the distance calculator of Erasmus+, and agreed by our National Agency. Participant profile The project is open to young people aged 18–30 who are motivated to contribute to environmental protection and community life. Participants are expected to actively engage in activities, respect group rules, and contribute to a positive team spirit. No prior experience is required, as learning and support are provided throughout the project. Through participation, volunteers gain practical experience, increased environmental awareness, intercultural competences, and a stronger sense of European solidarity.
