Overview

The Business Support Assistant (School Meals) will provide standard business support for the McGovern-Dole School Meals programme to ensure operational excellence and facilitate effective programme work.

Tasks Summary
  • Gather information to support drafting of documents and preparing reports.
  • Respond to queries and escalate where appropriate.
  • Support processing and managing routine administrative and financial tasks.
  • Provide revision and proof-reading services for standard documents.
  • Maintain set standard systems and files.
  • Identify simple discrepancies in statistics and data.
  • Take responsibility for data integrity.
  • Provide guidance on routine business support methods and practices to junior colleagues.
  • Work with a variety of individuals, taking on feedback where appropriate.
  • Perform WINGS related tasks including creation of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, service outline agreements, and posting of goods receipts and service entry sheets.
  • Responsible for invoice processing in Invoice Tracking System.
  • Province wise monthly record keeping of all invoices related to the MGD programme.
  • Act as travel focal point for school meals, managing all travel related tasks.
  • Coordinate with finance, Supply Chain, Security, Human Resource and admin units.
  • Provide administrative support for arrangements of meetings, training, and relevant seminars/workshops.
Experience Requirements

Four or more years of progressively responsible work experience in the relative business stream with experience in general administrative work.

Qualification Requirements

Completion of secondary school education (Grade 12). A post-secondary certificate or Bachelors degree in the related functional area, Business Administration, Computer Sciences or Social Sciences is desirable.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Urdu.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of Sindhi a plus.

Contract Duration: 12 months (with possibility of extension)
