Overview

This internship supports the Global Framework on Chemicals Secretariat, the Fund, and the Special Programme in producing communications materials, graphic design, and layout.

Tasks Summary
  • Maintain and support the implementation of the communications plan for the Fund and the Secretariat.
  • Lays out newsletters, reports, and other communications products.
  • Drafts articles, blogs, announcements and other supplementary materials.
  • Supports event coordination and outreach activities.
  • Designs visual content for communication with external stakeholders.
  • Creates posters, banners, fliers, infographics and other communications materials using Canva.
  • Researches content for printed and online material.
  • Supports the creation of multimedia content and products.
  • Helps with the maintenance and value additions to our internal and external websites.
  • Develops and maintains a calendar with all relevant international chemicals events and identifying key meetings where outreach events can be organized.
  • Builds contact databases of donors and supporters to support resource mobilization.
Experience Requirements

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.

Qualification Requirements
  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
  • Good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Teams.
Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in spoken and written English is required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Work Modality: Flexible - Office Based Geneva Switzerland and/or Remotely

Remuneration: Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
