Overview

Support strategic multimedia and social media communications within the Resident Coordinator’s Office (RCO) in El Salvador. This internship offers an immersive experience in the United Nations system and its collaborative work.

Tasks Summary

• Designing creative ideas to communicate key topics through multimedia materials.
• Developing script proposals and production plans for multimedia content.
• Producing and post-producing multimedia materials for various channels.
• Supporting the identification of strategies to increase engagement across social media platforms.
• Scheduling social media posts aligned with key topics.
• Collecting metrics and evaluating the performance of social media campaigns.

Experience Requirements

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.

Qualification Requirements

• To be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programme.
• Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s.
• Good command of standard software applications, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to draft basic concept notes and contribute to documentation and knowledge products.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to draft news articles and/or social media posts in desirable.

Remuneration: Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
