Overview
The Private Sector Fundraising Officer supports the Country Office in implementing the private sector fundraising strategy, focusing on expanding the donor base and strengthening acquisition strategies for long-term pledging outcomes.
Tasks Summary
- Provides administrative, coordination, and operational support to the PSFR team.
- Assists in collecting, organizing, and compiling data for reports and performance tracking.
- Supports the team in tracking progress against workplans.
- Assists in gathering information and documenting best practices.
- Provides basic support in supplier interactions.
- Supports routine monitoring of fundraising activities.
- Assists with background research and information gathering for strategy development.
- Supports the compilation of market, donor, and audience information.
- Assists with basic analyses and documentation for fundraising channels and partnership activities.
- Helps track updates in the external fundraising environment.
- Coordinates with Regional PFP colleagues for report submissions.
- Supports the preparation of draft inputs for the annual workplan and budget.
- Facilitates coordination with other country office teams.
- Assists in identifying basic operational risks.
- Prepares materials, data tables, and documentation related to donor acquisition and supporter engagement.
- Assists with basic coordination of activities across acquisition channels.
- Helps maintain records of supplier performance.
- Ensures accurate data entry, filing, and organization of donor information.
- Supports the team in preparing drafts of donor communications.
- Assists in identifying potential partners.
- Helps prepare draft briefing notes and background packages.
- Supports coordination with internal teams.
- Provides administrative support in organizing meetings and maintaining partner files.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of one year of professional experience in private sector fundraising is required.
- Familiarity with the private sector is required.
- Previous managerial experience is essential.
- Relevant marketing experience will be considered contributing to this work experience.
- International fundraising experience is an asset.
- Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered an asset.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts is an asset.
Qualification Requirements
University degree in Business Management, Communication, Marketing, International Relations, Social Sciences or related fields is required.
