Overview

This role leads a team to drive process optimization through automation across the GSSC, fostering efficiency and innovation, and improving business processes. It also champions the adoption of AI and intelligent automation.

Tasks Summary
  • Lead Intelligent Process Automation (IPA) initiatives, integrating advanced automation technologies including AI, machine learning, and cognitive services.
  • Enhance collaboration, build relationships and skills development.
  • Improve the delivery of results.
  • Foster innovation.
Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience with progressive responsibility in business analysis, system analysis, solution design, software development/configuration, and integration.
  • 3–5 years of experience in requirements elicitation, business process analysis, and functional specification development.
  • Experience in developing automation solutions using RPA technologies and workflow automation platforms.
  • Experience in developing automation solutions using Intelligent Process Automation (IPA) platforms, with a strong emphasis on AI-driven software engineering.
  • Experience with programming languages and scripting tools such as AutoIt, PowerShell, VBA, VBScript, SQL.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly in verbal and written formats.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of current and emerging AI technologies.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities for process optimization and innovation, implement automation solutions, and deliver measurable improvements.
Qualification Requirements
  • An advanced university degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology management, business administration, or another relevant technical field.
  • A first-level university degree in a relevant field combined with seven years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.

Languages Required: • Fluency in both spoken and written English is required. • Knowledge of the local language of the duty station is required for national professional category.

Languages Preferred: • Working knowledge of French and/or Spanish is an advantage. • Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese or Russian) is an asset.
