Overview

The position will execute transport planning and timely issuance of operational documents to facilitate timely operational requirements. Provide support to logistics operations and activities following standard processes.

Tasks Summary
  • Execute transport planning and timely issuance of operational documents.
  • Provide support to logistics operations and activities.
  • Provide information for transport purchase order creation and follow for release.
  • Review transport allocations and align them with Transport Purchase Orders.
  • Verify and reconcile Food Release Notes from Programme Unit with existing stock data.
  • Prepare allocations according to project requirements and donor regulations.
  • Create complete/accurate actionable documents for the movement of supplies.
  • Issue the stock transport order (STO/LTI) through LESS and share with the transporters.
  • Issue manual documentation for the movement of offline stocks.
  • Issue the system work orders through LESS and share with the service providers.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams for timely delivery of commodities and supplies.
  • Support management of logistics vendors activities including performance monitoring and measurement.
  • Take responsibility for the maintenance of set standard systems and files.
  • Provide support in the reconciliation of each distribution cycle.
  • Perform any duties assigned by the supervisor.
Experience Requirements

At least five (5) or more years of relevant professional work experience with a Secondary School Certificate OR University Degree (Diploma/Bachelor’s) with a minimum of three (3) or more years of relevant experience directly worked in Supply Chain.

Qualification Requirements

Completion of secondary school education OR University degree (Diploma/Bachelor ) in logistics, supply chain management or any other related fields.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluent knowledge (proficiency/level C) of English and Somali language.
