Overview
Provide overall regional level coordination for the Countering Harmful Practices F4B Project, aiming to strengthen local civil society organizations to prevent and respond to harmful practices.
Tasks Summary
- Support the effective and timely implementation of the project at regional level.
- Ensure activities are delivered smoothly, resources are used efficiently, and partnerships are well coordinated.
- Focus on day-to-day coordination, monitoring, and reporting of project activities within the assigned region.
- Work closely with regional government bureaus, Amref Health Africa, and local implementing partners to facilitate collaboration, address implementation challenges, and support the achievement of project results.
- Contribute to promoting gender equality, disability inclusion, and climate-sensitive approaches in regional implementation.
- Support the delivery of survivor-centered interventions, community engagement, peer education, facilitate trainings and other project strategies.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in regional project management.
- Strong sectoral expertise on SRHR, CP/GBV, and related sectors with good understanding of regional context.
- Experience of working on complex projects that involves diversified local implementing partners.
- Knowhow of SRH and GBV strategies/policy frameworks, teenage pregnancy roadmap, child marriage, FGM.
- Experience in planning, budget management, delivering trainings.
Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Science, Project Management, Reproductive Health, Sociology, Development studies, or related field.
