Overview
The Digital Learning Specialist will support UNICEF in leveraging technology to transform education by designing, adapting, and delivering interactive, inclusive, and contextually relevant digital content.
Tasks Summary
- Design a prototype for digital hubs and provide detailed technical specifications.
- Develop TORs and manage procurement for digital hub equipment.
- Establish and supervise the UNICEF Digital Lab.
- Review and validate the functionality of the Maza platform (front- and back-end).
- Develop and maintain dashboards (registration, sign-in, data flow, user journey).
- Support AI integration for self-assessment, translation, and related areas.
- Facilitate integration with existing platforms (Talent BIZ, SMS BIZ, etc.).
- Supervise and mentor digital learning interns working on content development.
- Train Ministry of Education and Culture staff on digital content development.
- Manage contracts with institutions and partners for content digitization.
- Review and adapt existing materials for digital formats (visual content, audio, interactive games).
- Identify and customize open-source educational content.
- Co-create engaging, interactive content, including lessons and scripts, interactive exercises, quizzes and self-assessments, and audio-visual components.
- Ensure all content is inclusive, gender-transformative, culturally relevant, and aligned with national curriculum standards.
- Incorporate feedback from users, partners, and pilot testing.
Experience Requirements
- Professional work experience at the national and/or international level in designing technical solutions for learning and engagement, or other relevant programmes.
- Experience with developing interactive, learner-centered content is required.
- At least 6 months in html5 content generation and programming.
Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer sciences or educational technology, software engineering, information technology, electronic engineering, or related fields.
