Overview
The incumbent will support UNICEF Cote d'Ivoire's data agenda by facilitating data collection, sharing, and use to inform planning, improve impact through advocacy, capacity improvement, and service delivery.
Tasks Summary
- Work with sectoral teams on visualization requirements for results data.
- Identify and integrate data from various sources into a unified dataset.
- Develop analytical models and results dashboards.
- Create visualizations highlighting status, trends, convergence, trajectories, and gaps.
- Transform technical documents into advocacy and communication products.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide clean data for analysis.
- Design and implement AI-driven solutions.
- Develop, test, and deploy machine learning models.
- Monitor and retrain AI models.
- Align data and AI initiatives with country programme priorities.
- Explore emerging technologies to enhance data-driven decision-making.
- Conduct AI risk assessments and ensure compliance.
- Build and maintain partnerships with sectoral colleagues, government counterparts, and national stakeholders.
- Train staff on data tools, AI applications, and governance practices.
- Develop and update documentation, manuals, and training materials.
- Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Provide training and support on data and knowledge management best practices.
- Engage with partners to understand knowledge needs.
- Lead the development of a knowledge management (KM) plan.
- Coordinate and support the implementation of the KM plan.
- Categorize and structure knowledge for accessibility.
- Develop knowledge products for programme advocacy.
- Provide information for resource mobilization and fundraising documents.
- Streamline methods of information and knowledge sharing.
- Support the establishment of effective feedback mechanisms.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum five years of work experience at the national or international levels in data analytics, data visualization or another related area, and Knowledge Management.
- Strong command of data visualization tools and software like Tableau, Power BI, Excel, or programming languages such as Python or R for custom visualizations.
- Proficiency in Machine Learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and AI tools.
- Experience in facilitating the development of strategic dashboards and reports on results by analysing complex data and information.
Qualification Requirements
Advanced university degree in data science, data analytics, economics, public policy, statistics, with strong AI and quantitative training and experience.
