Overview

The purpose of this role is to drive income growth from the corporate sector by proactively identifying and securing new in-country partnerships in India. The incumbent will develop and implement fundraising strategies to focus on acquisition and maximization of prospect national corporate donors.

Tasks Summary

• Developing and securing strategic long-term flexible income through new corporate partnerships.
• Support the new business process from prospect identification to securing first meetings, through the contract signature for assigned prospects.
• Providing inputs in the development of the corporate fundraising strategy for the India Country Office (ICO).

Experience Requirements

• At least five years of practical professional work experience with progressively increasing responsibilities in resource mobilization from the private sector is required.
• Experience of the entire fundraising lifecycle (identification to close) with successful closures, preferably in a fast-paced, long sales cycle environment, is required.
• Ability to independently lead strategic engagements with CXOs, Founders, and senior leadership of large corporates or multinationals; with a strong executive presence and excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills is desired.
• Deep understanding of corporate funding structures, CSR priorities, and decision-making processes, backed by a robust private sector network that unlocks relevant, qualified leads and accelerates partnership development, is desired.
• Strong experience in leading complex, multi-stakeholder negotiations, coordinating with cross-functional teams (legal, programmes, marketing, etc.) is desired.
• Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency.
• Relevant experience at the country level, particularly in development, fragile settings, and humanitarian contexts.

Qualification Requirements

• An advanced University Degree in marketing, international development, business administration, advertising or a degree in social sciences or any related field.
• A first University Degree in social sciences or any other relevant field, combined with 2 additional years (minimum 7 years in total) of professional experience, may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree or any other relevant discipline.

Languages Required: Fluency in English is required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.

Contract Duration: one (1) year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension
