Overview

The Security and Safety Officer 1 (SSO1) supports the Security & Safety Officer 3 (SSO3) in reporting on security information and analyses, and in daily security management and movement of ICRC staff.

Tasks Summary
  • Follows up on daily ICRC movement in Beirut AOR.
  • Ensures movements and security related protocols are coordinated, aligned and coherent with general security protocols and Field trip SOP’s.
  • Interacts with all departments for follow up on safety and security procedures.
  • Collects security-related events and prepares reports.
  • Conducts premises security and safety assessments.
  • Follows up on security rules signature with all ICRC staff in Beirut on a monthly basis.
  • Supports compilation of security related data/information and handles quality revision of security documents.
  • Supports provision of quality security & safety services at delegation/local level.
  • Supports in conducting regular drills and exercises related to safety and security.
  • Follows up and coordinates with LnD focal point on application of security and safety institutional courses and other necessary trainings.
  • Supports SSO3 in the analyses of the overall security situation in Lebanon and advises on potential risks.
Experience Requirements
  • 2 – 4 years of professional experience in Security & Safety Management or similar field.
  • Experience in crisis management is an asset.
Qualification Requirements

• University degree

Other Details

Languages Required: • Arabic: Native. • English: Full professional working.

Languages Preferred:

Contract Duration: 1 year (Renewable based on performance and need for position)

Work Modality:

Remuneration: • Salary Package: 1’599 – 2’335 USD/Month • Transportation Allowance: 13$ per day. • 13th Month of salary paid in December, pro rata basis in accordance with the period worked. • Salary Review/Increase: annually • Annual Leave: 20 calendar working days of paid leave per year, pro rata basis in accordance with the period worked. • Health Insurance: Full insurance coverage (no co-NSSF) - 90% of premium fees under the class B covered by the ICRC; option for class upgrade is available with extra charges. • Coverings include In-Patient: including pre-existing cases / Out-Patients: Doctor Visits, Medicines, Laboratory tests, Therapeutical services (Physiotherapy, Psychotherapy sessions) • International Retirement Saving Plan (IRSP): a contribution valued at 11.5% of your monthly salary, these savings are paid by the end of service as a lump sum. • Other benefits subject to internal rules and regulations: High Cost of Living Allowance (HCLA), Schooling allowance, Eyeglasses Reimbursement, Learning and career development opportunities, Internal mobility opportunities leading to expatriate roles.
