Communication Adviser

Overview

Provide coordination and technical advisory support for Movement-wide communication and advocacy initiatives across the region, ensuring coherent messaging and strengthened collaboration.

Tasks Summary

• Facilitate regular engagement with Movement partners on communication priorities.
• Serve as a focal point for communication-related requests.
• Lead and support delegations in consistent messaging and joint positioning.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of regional Movement communication strategies.
• Advise regional and country-level teams on integrating Movement communication objectives.
• Support identifying content needs, producing and disseminating communication materials.
• Ensure regular monitoring of regional media and social media.
• Provide advice and support for proactive and reactive Movement communication responses.
• Provide technical guidance and support to communication colleagues.
• Contribute to trainings, workshops, and joint communication initiatives.

Experience Requirements

8 years of professional experience in Humanitarian communication, advocacy or diplomacy, including 4 years working within the Red Cross Red Crescent (RCRC) Movement.

Qualification Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Political science, International Relations or journalism

Languages Required: Arabic: Native. English: Full professional working.

Contract Duration: until December 31, 2026 (Renewable based on performance and need for position).

Work Modality:

Remuneration: Salary Package: 4’270 – 5’320 USD/Month. Transportation Allowance: 13 USD per day. 13th Month of salary paid in December, pro rata basis in accordance with the period worked.
