Overview

Support the implementation and consolidation of UNEP FI outreach & co-ordination plans across the Africa and Middle East regions.

Tasks Summary

• Assist in writing country and members' profiles, monitoring reporting, and establishing key areas of expertise of supporting institutions (English/Arabic/French).
• Support membership surveys across the AME region (English/Arabic/French).
• Assist with identifying financial institutions for outreach.
• Assist with preparation of sustainable finance events in the region, drafting concept notes (English/Arabic/French) and preparation of national workshops.
• Assist with development of public communication through newsletter, website, case studies, and members calls.
• Update the contact database for UNEP FI Signatories.
• Support the Regional Coordinator and Signatory Relations Manager on other matters.
• Assist in writing, editing, proofreading, and preparing communications for members (English/Arabic/French).
• Assist in community platform creation and management.

Experience Requirements

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. A field of study that is closely related to the type of internship is required.

Qualification Requirements

• Enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
• Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent).
• Graduated with a university degree and commence the internship within one year of graduation.
• Final year undergraduate or master's degree student in development studies, economics, business administration, finance, environmental studies.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in spoken and written English and French is required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of Arabic is desirable.

Contract Duration: 6 months

Work Modality: Remote/ Geneva

Remuneration: Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
