Overview

The Deputy Shop Manager role is responsible for motivating teams, creating a safe and energised work environment, and achieving business results. The role involves supporting the Shop Manager, providing excellent customer service, and engaging with the local community.

Tasks Summary
  • Support development and maintenance of successful, inclusive and diverse teams.
  • Support effective retail processes and strong merchandising.
  • Build positive relationships with colleagues, provide excellent customer service, and engage with local community and other civil society organisations.
  • Demonstrate resilience to everyday pressures and manage conflicting demands.
  • Interpret basic financial reports, monitor budgets and maintain shops administrative systems.
Experience Requirements
  • Some commercial awareness with ability to support effective retail processes and strong merchandising.
  • Numerate and financial literate, able to interpret basic financial reports, monitor budgets and maintain shops administrative systems.
