Digital and Multimedia Consultant

Overview

Enhance the digital and multimedia capacity of the Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen to support strategic communications and increase engagement with Yemeni, regional, and international digital audiences.

Tasks Summary

• Contribute to visual and multimedia content production, including developing creative content, producing videos, graphics, and animations, and implementing strategic campaigns.
• Assist in enhancing audience engagement and social media management by developing and executing social media plans and monitoring channels.
• Support brand identity and digital presence by managing visual brand, designing digital assets, and ensuring alignment with brand and quality standards.

Experience Requirements

• A minimum of two years of experience in public information, journalism, international relations, digital media or related areas is required.
• Proven experience in engaging content creation and using design and multimedia software, such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, Premiere, and/or After Effects is required.
• Experience in photo editing, retouching and creating visually appealing images using Photoshop or any similar editing software is required.
• Knowledge of the Yemeni digital media landscape is required.

Qualification Requirements

• Advanced University Degree (master’s or equivalent degree) in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, international development, business management or related fields is required.
• A degree in graphic design or visual art is desirable.
• A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Other Details

Languages Required: English and Arabic are required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.

Contract Duration: 2 MONTHS
