Overview
Elaboration of dedicated educational materials about the BWC for university students, with a minimum of six lesson plans to be translated into six official UN languages.
Tasks Summary
- Carry out a mapping exercise to review the incorporation of the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) and biosecurity topics into existing courses or curricula.
- Liaise and consult with an informal advisory group of universities, think-tanks, training centres, educators, and course organizers.
- Prepare course content based on a consolidated course outline.
- Elaborate all required documentation, such as course materials, presentations, scripts, assignments, and supportive documents.
- Support the promotion of published educational materials with interested stakeholders.
- Coordinate for materials to be available on the UNODA Disarmament Education Website.
Experience Requirements
• Six years of teaching experience in an academic setting.
Qualification Requirements
• Master's degree in natural sciences, such as biology, or social sciences, such as Political Science, International Relations, or a related field is required.
