Logistic Associate, SC6

Overview

The Logistics Associate will support logistics functions and related activities to enable effective delivery of goods and services. The role involves managing warehouse activities including safeguarding of commodities and supplies, and ensuring well-organized warehousing and storage service.

Tasks Summary

• Responsible for the effective planning and management of warehouse operations.
• Coordinate the receipt/dispatch of commodities.
• Responsible for the accuracy of warehouse transaction records.
• Responsible for inventory management.
• Supervise preparation and/or prepare regular and ad hoc reports and statistics on warehouse operations.
• Oversee safeguarding of commodities.
• Review on periodic basis warehouse space availability, plan and implement new design layouts.
• Identify training needs and efficiently plan trainings.
• Supervise warehouse staff.
• Perform other duties as required to support effective supply chain coordination and delivery.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of relevant professional work experience in the relevant area of work.
• Experience maintaining a logistics database
• Experience in inventory management and reporting
• Experience in coordinating with government and third party service providers
• Experience in managing small teams

Qualification Requirements

• Completion of secondary school education.
• A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area is desirable.

Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency (level C) in English language and Tetum.

Languages Preferred: • Knowledge in Portuguese is a plus.

Contract Duration: 9 months (with the possibility of extension)
