Overview

The Project Associate (Data Processing) will support the Health and MHPSS Team in the implementation of IOM Health & MHPSS related projects in Mekelle, Ethiopia. The role involves assisting in project activities, data compilation, and administrative coordination.

Tasks Summary
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of health and MHPSS project activities.
  • Retrieve, compile, summarize, and present information/data on specific project topics.
  • Monitor budget; verify availability of funds; obtain necessary approval and update budget related information.
  • Support administrative coordination of project implementation.
  • Draft status reports, identifying shortfalls in delivery.
  • Draft correspondence, reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentations and other forms of documentation.
  • Organize meetings, workshops and training sessions.
  • Respond to general information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
  • 2 years experience in managing health data.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
  • Experience in recognized institutions in primary health care is an advantage.
  • Experience in applying nationally and internationally accepted protocols and guidelines.
  • Experience in Emergency health response or implementing health services for migrants, refugee and displaced persons and other vulnerable groups; including early recovery or post crisis emergency health programming.
Qualification Requirements
  • University Degree in computer science, statistics, Epidemiology or related field in health statistics.
  • Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

Languages Required: • Fluency in English is required (oral and written).
