Overview

The Communications Associate will be responsible for crafting and disseminating interactive content across digital platforms to amplify UNICEF's mission and advocate for children's rights in Pakistan.

Tasks Summary
  • Assist in managing content calendar for social media platforms.
  • Assist in scheduling specific, timely campaigns across all platforms.
  • Support in creating engaging social media content on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Write strong copy aligned with UNICEF's style for social media and web.
  • Produce and post-produce multimedia content (photo and video) for digital platforms.
  • Assist in promoting content online.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and manage direct communications on UNICEF Pakistan's digital channels.
  • Assist in monitoring and replying to Tweets, comments and messages from followers.
  • Help employ community management best practices to encourage online audiences to participate in social media discussions.
  • Monitor analytics and produce weekly/monthly reports.
  • Support the growth of UNICEF Pakistan social media channels.
  • Monitor current events, public opinion and press, identify issues and trends, and advise on appropriate digital media response.
  • Support organization of digital assets and content calendars.
  • Research articles, stories, resources, or other content relevant to audiences/communities.
  • Support regular meetings with Digital Communication team to plan for the upcoming social media editorial calendar.
  • Monitor and evaluate UNICEF's social media performance.
  • Support the communications sections to update information and key messages.
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor.
Experience Requirements
  • 1 month relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of communication strategies, media engagement, and the ability to craft compelling narratives.
  • Experience in developing and implementing communication strategies, managing media engagement, and enhancing the visibility of development goals.
  • Experience in using digital platforms, public events, and partnerships with media outlets is also essential.
Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Development Studies, or any other related field.

Languages Required: • English, Level: Working knowledge

Languages Preferred: • Urdu, Level: Fluent

Contract Duration: 12 months

Work Modality: Onsite

Remuneration: • Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) of PKR 105,097 is provided monthly to cover housing, utilities and normal cost of living expenses. • Life health and permanent disability insurance are included (health insurance for up to 3 dependents). • Final repatriation (if applicable) and resettlement allowance for satisfactory service.
