Overview
The Planning Officer will provide technical support for developing and monitoring Annual Work Plans, coordinating micro plans for grants, and organizing country programme reviews. The role also involves coordinating UN-wide planning and reporting and contributing to knowledge management within the country office.
Tasks Summary
- Provide technical support for developing and monitoring Annual Work Plans, including reporting on equity and gender markers.
- Coordinate the development and monitoring of micro plans for OR-funded grants.
- Provide technical support in organizing and managing annual/mid-year/mid-term/end term country programme reviews.
- Provide technical support with monitoring work plan implementation, including review of implementation modalities.
- Provide technical support with developing and strengthening issue-based planning mechanisms at a national level.
- Provide technical support with the improvement of other planning systems and processes in UNICEF Ghana.
- Coordinate annual planning and reporting on UNSDCF commitments, including data entry onto UNINFO.
- Provide technical support with other UN-wide engagement including on the UNSDCF and CCA.
- Engage sections in developing knowledge products from surveys, evaluations, and best practices.
- Ensure knowledge is integrated into all levels of the planning cycle.
- Provide technical support with IMEP implementation from a quality-review and KM lens.
- Other activities as required to drive knowledge management.
Experience Requirements
- 3 years required experience.
- Relevant experience 5 years.
- Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.
Qualification Requirements
• Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Data Science, Planning/Monitoring/Evaluation, Development Studies, Statistics, Information Studies and related areas.
