Overview

The role involves examining the application of Union law and defending Union interests in litigation before competent courts, specifically within the EUROZONE Team of the Legal Service.

Tasks Summary

• Examination of the application of Union law.
• Examination of legal problems arising from the application of the Treaties.
• Defense of Union interests in litigation before the competent courts.

Experience Requirements

Experience and interest in EU budgetary law would be an asset.

Qualification Requirements

• A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma.
• Passed an EPSO CAST in the relevant Function Group for this position.

Other Details

Languages Required: • Very good knowledge of English is necessary. • Very good knowledge of French is necessary. • Thorough knowledge (minimum level C1) of one of the 24 official languages of the EU. • Satisfactory knowledge (minimum level B2) of a second official language of the EU.

Languages Preferred:

Contract Duration: The duration of the first contract will be of 2 years. Subject to the interest of the service, the contract may be renewed one or more times up to a maximum duration of 6 years.

Work Modality: Possibility of teleworking

Remuneration: The pay of staff members consists of a basic salary supplemented with specific allowances, including, where applicable, expatriation and family allowances.
