Overview

Oversee and implement general protection case management activities in line with international standards and DRC's SOPs and guidelines. Supervise case workers and manage individual protection cases.

Tasks Summary
  • Implement general protection case management activities.
  • Support case workers in case identification, assessment, planning, intervention, and follow-up.
  • Lead case conferences, team meetings, training, and workshops.
  • Establish safe and conducive spaces for beneficiaries.
  • Report to the protection manager and collect reports from case management assistants.
  • Identify and respond to direct beneficiary needs.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other agencies and government bodies.
  • Assess outputs, outcomes, and impact of case management activities.
  • Represent DRC protection in technical working meetings and clusters.
  • Facilitate and follow-up case management activities.
  • Oversee implementation, monitoring, and tracking of work plans and budgets.
  • Conduct referrals of beneficiaries and track referral statuses.
  • Integrate case management activities with protection monitoring.
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders to collect information.
  • Monitor protection trends and needs.
  • Ensure ethical and statistically sound data collection and reporting.
  • Analyze disaggregated protection data.
  • Monitor project activities and provide feedback.
  • Assist in developing reports and evaluations.
  • Ensure DRC’s accountability commitments are mainstreamed.
  • Support in developing daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Ensure proper documentation of project activities.
  • Carry out additional protection activities as assigned.
  • Ensure maintenance and update of case management database and trackers.
  • Enter client data into the DRC Case Management IM system or excel forms.
  • Ensure timely procurement of case management materials.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in PCM/CP/GBV case management supervision.
  • Experience in the project locations is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in direct implementation of protection case management activities.
  • Proven record of community engagement and consultation.
  • Technical understanding of core protection concepts, PCM prevention and response strategies.
  • Experience in identifying and responding to needs of vulnerable individuals.
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to consistently meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Commitment to learning and implementing organizational policies and procedures.
  • Full proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Proficiency in Kobo and other data collection/analysis tools desirable.
Qualification Requirements

• University degree in social work, social science, law or other relevant field from a recognized institution.

Languages Required: • Excellent skills in speaking, reading and writing English, and Tigrigna
