Peace Building Officer

Overview

The Peace Building Officer will be responsible for various activities related to conflict resolution, peacebuilding, conflict early warning systems, trauma healing, and community engagement aimed at promoting peace, social cohesion, and reconciliation in conflict-affected communities.

Tasks Summary

• Support the peacebuilding component of projects, overseeing project activities, budgets, and reporting.
• Conduct participatory conflict and conflict sensitivity analyses.
• Establish peace building committees and provide training.
• Develop early warning action plans.
• Support CSOs, groups, initiatives, and local change makers promoting peace and social cohesion.
• Facilitate/ support community dialogue forums and trauma healing sessions.
• Establish joint working groups and integrate conflict-sensitive programming principles.
• Ensuring smooth coordination with authorities, security providers, and other organizations.
• Monitoring, reporting, and evaluating project implementation, including data collection and submitting reports.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2 years of professional experience in conflict and peacebuilding which in an NGO setting.

Qualification Requirements

BSc degree in Peace Studies, Conflict Management, Law, Psychology, Social Studies or related fields

Languages Required: Full Proficiency in English languages and local language.
