Overview

Provide technical guidance and support in the implementation of priority activities related to Climate Resilience and WASH, including design review, quality supervision of works, and training.

Tasks Summary
  • Provide technical engineering support and advise with drafting and review of designs and BoQs related to Climate Resilience and WASH facilities.
  • Provide technical advice to UNICEF staff during bids evaluation.
  • Supervise and ensure the quality of contractors’ infrastructural works and equipment supplies.
  • Organize regular coordination meetings with contractors and partners.
  • Ensure submission of reports by contractors and certification of completion of works for processing of payments.
  • Conduct on-job refresher training on Health Care Waste Management.
  • Provide technical engineering support related to EU third-party assessment during final project evaluation.
  • Provide on-demand technical engineering support to contractors and CEED team.
  • Supervise civil works in schools retrofitted under the UNICEF Business Model Initiative.
  • Provide technical engineering input to climate-resilient WASH and CEED project-related briefs.
Experience Requirements

A minimum of eight years of professional work experience in Climate-resilient WASH and Waste Management Infrastructure and Supplies in Health Care Facilities, Schools and Communities within the Government or providing similar consultancy services to international organizations focusing on WASH in HCFs, Schools, Communities (Urban, Rural WASH). Previous work experience with UNICEF is preferred.

Qualification Requirements

University degree in Civil Engineering, sanitary and environmental engineering, sanitation engineering or another relevant technical field.

Other Details

Languages Required: Excellent working knowledge and communication in the Tajik and Russian languages required. Good knowledge of English is a requirement.
