Overview
Provides high level, secure and professional driving services to the Head of Office, involving coordination with stakeholders, knowledge of diplomatic protocol, and use of digital tracking systems.
Tasks Summary
- Drives Head of Office to official appointments, meetings, and field missions.
- Safely transports senior guests, external dignitaries, or partners.
- Meets staff, senior officials, and visitors at the airport and assists with formalities.
- Adjusts routes or schedules based on security needs or protocol changes.
- Liaises with Administration Unit, UNDSS, security escorts, and protocol staff.
- Conducts daily vehicle checks and ensures vehicle readiness and professional appearance.
- Operates Vehicle Tracking Systems and UN Mobility Booking Tool.
- Communicates using VHF/HF radio devices and mobile phones.
- Supports HOE or Administrative Unit with deliveries and logistical tasks.
- Assists with coordinating vehicle availability and maintenance schedules.
- Shares knowledge and trains junior drivers on safety protocols and professional standards.
Experience Requirements
Minimum three years of work experience as a driver in an international organization, embassy or UN system with a safe driving record is required.
Qualification Requirements
A secondary education is required, along with a valid driver’s license and knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
