The Health Officer provides technical, operational, and administrative assistance to the Health Programme within the Country Programme, facilitating programme development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in public health with focus on adolescent health and development, in planning and management, maternal and neonatal health care, or health emergency/humanitarian preparedness. Experience working in a developing country and emergency is a must. Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset. Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset. Experience in health program/project development in a UN system agency or organization is an asset.
A university degree in public health/nutrition, medicine, pediatric health, family health, health research, global/international health, health policy and/or management, environmental health sciences, biostatistics, socio-medical, health education, epidemiology, or another relevant technical field.
Languages Required: Fluency in English (verbal and written) and Filipino.
Languages Preferred: Knowledge of another UN language an asset.
