Overview
Provide comprehensive assistance across stakeholder engagement, act as a liaison between the EU and the FMA, and offer operational, documentation, administrative, and technical support for smooth and accountable project delivery.
Tasks Summary
- Support day-to-day project operations, coordination, and monitoring.
- Maintain project work plans, budget, and expenditure tracking tools.
- Contribute to administrative aspects of grant selection, appraisal, and contracting.
- Support data collection, compilation, and organisation for project monitoring and reporting.
- Ensure UNOPS’ obligations in grant oversight are met.
- Conduct verifications for EU fund earmarking and expenditure.
- Support implementation of controls for EU fund traceability.
- Maintain documentation and audit trails for audit readiness.
- Support review and consolidation of grantee reports.
- Coordinate capacity assessments of grantees and sub-grantees.
- Support development and monitoring of capacity improvement plans.
- Coordinate logistical and administrative organisation of project activities.
- Assist in drafting, editing, and formatting project documents.
- Establish and maintain project archives.
- Support communication and visibility activities.
Experience Requirements
- Six (6) years’ experience with a High School Diploma Certificate.
- Two (2) years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
- Relevant experience is defined as experience in project/programme management (including coordination, monitoring, documentation and reporting) in a national or international organisation.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in any of the following: UN rules and procedures in grants and fund management, project management, procurement, finance, HR management, and administrative rules and regulations.
- Desired: Experience working with EU grants, contracts, and reporting.
- Desired: Experience working with civil society implementing partners and the NGO sector is an asset.
- Desired: Experience with structured documentation and audit trails is an asset.
- Desired: Experience with capacity assessment and capacity development processes is an asset.
- Desired: Experience supporting compliance, financial reporting, or assurance-related processes in donor-funded projects.
Qualification Requirements
- Required: High School Diploma Certificate.
- Required: A Bachelor’s degree preferably in a relevant field (e.g. Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, International Relations, Law, or other social sciences).
- Desired: Master's Degree preferably in a relevant field (e.g. Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, International Relations, Law, or other social sciences).
- Desired: PRINCE2® Foundation or similar project management certification.
